Aeris and Cloud belong together and YOU KNOW IT! *cough* Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. It's just that I feel the need to try and convince some people that came to my web site who are Tifa fans (you know you came in here, and you know who you are) and I must set them straight on why I think Aeris and Cloud belong together.

1) Aeris took care of Cloud after he came crashing through the roof of the church, she sat there with a washcloth, doing all she could to revive him and make sure he was okay. Ok, this may sound kind of wishy-washy. You're probably saying--Tifa would do the same thing. But would Tifa really sit there if a TOTAL STRANGER carrying a HUGE sword came CRASHING through the roof of a building she was working in, looking dangerous? I would scream and freak out, and run away, going to go for help. I wouldn't just sit there, I would think he was trying to attack me or something. Think of something like this happened on a roof of your house!!! Surely you wouldn't just sit there! But Aeris took care of Cloud.

2) Cloud accepted the task to be her bodyguard in order to go on a date. A date with her obviously meant a lot to him for him to accept something so puny.

3) She brought him home to meet her mom. *wink wink* It's that good ol' first impression thing.

4) She liked him already by the time they had gotten to the playground in the Sector Slums because she asked him about Tifa, whether she was his girlfriend. He asked her in turn about Zack.

5) Cloud agreed to go on the date with Aeris when she asked him.

6) It is already programmed to make you go on the date with Aeris. Notice it is set on a default, so unless you are really, really mean to her, you are going to end up on a date with Aeris and not Tifa or Yuffie.

7) The weird way Cloud was acting on the date with Aeris. He just wasn't himself!

8) Aeris doesn't just like Cloud because he looks like Zack. She likes him because he's Cloud. That's why she said to him on the gondola ride that she wanted to meet him. Because she cared.

9) If Tifa and Cloud were so 'close' and had spent all that time together, wouldn't they be closer than Cloud and Aeris who barely knew each other? See? But they weren't. Aeris and Cloud were just as close as Cloud and Tifa were. And after the date it was even more so.

10) Even a ROBOT believes Cloud and Aeris should be together. Cait Sith said it was 'in the stars.'

11) Aeris said she would be back after it was all over. Thanks to all the fan fic writers who put it into words.

12) I really do believe Cloud wanted her back. He reached for her hand in the end, right after he defeated Sephiroth, when she appeared, as if he could pull her back, remember?

13) Cloud was the one who laid her to rest in the city. Not Tifa. Not Barret. Not Cid. Cloud. He was the one who picked her up and ranted and raved about how unfair it was that she died--about how she smiled to the end--about how he would never see her get angry again, smile, laugh. You all know the speech.

14) This quote, "But I'm...we're here for you." That was Cloud to Aeris! He cares for her, even though he stumbles over his words. That part in the beginning of the sentence was just a part of his emotions slipping through before he covered them up! (Sent in by Tina)

15) In Final Fantasy Tactics, you meet up with Cloud again--and he is defending Aeris! This game was made later and it obviously means that he and Aeris are somehow together in the future (there is no Tifa to be SEEN!)….Beat THAT, Tifa fans!

16) (sent in by Amanda) Cloud, in the beginning of the game, was cold and aloof. He wanted to quit Avalanche. Then he met Aeris, and it was like he changed. He wanted to stay in Avalanche, and he became a little nicer, and did you notice his whole attitude changed? He started saying annoying things like, "Let's mosey" and "we can do it." Etc...
